Abstract

The Getulio Vargas avenue in Manaus, connects the downtown area to the other neighborhoods with the extension of 1.5 km. The study of this article aims at the reform of the central bed of the avenue for being in conditions pitiful and without maintenance since the year of 2013. The goal of this article is to plan a dosage of concrete with Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) ground for the manufacture of pre-molded slabs for central bed Avenue, that is considered one of the most beautiful of the city. This article also presents materials and methods according to the technical standards of ABNT and ABCP, such as schedule of activities and budget for the characterization of materials in the production of concrete with crushed PET; in addition to the budget of the placement of the plates in the central bed of Avenue; and finally, a sketch of how the Avenue will be after the completion of the work.
