PROPOSAL FOR IMPROVEMENT IN THE CONFIGURATION OF THE SUPPLY LINE IN A MOTORCYCLE COMPANY IN THE CITY OF MANAUS-AM

Abstract

The need to remain competitive in such a dynamic and demanding market has constrained many companies to seek tools and methods that can add value to the brand and eliminate waste, due to the parameters of economy, efficiency and sustainability being globalized world. Thus, the objective of this article is to develop a proposal for improvement in the line supply setup at a motorcycle company in the city of Manaus-AM, seeking to solve the problem of the delay in feeding the Hardware in the production process stations. As a methodology for carrying out this work, the case study was used. The results were evidenced with the use of the tray with hives that, when used before the assembly process, avoids delay in the production process, bringing with it numerous advantages, among them: agility in feeding the Hardware in the processes of assembly line, Mounting and Mounting the Engine, reducing the feeding time from 00:59 minutes to 00:00 minutes each Kit and clearing the aisle at the time of feeding. The relevance of this research is based on the implementation of the same activities that this study covers in other manufacturing processes that involve improvements in the provisioning or feeding setup in large motorcycle companies, among others in general.
