Abstract

During the operation, a Chemical Processing Plant must satisfy some design conditions and technical, economic and social requirements in the presence of external disturbances and has to keep constant in stable operation conditions some vital process parameters for the processing and production of some chemical products. With this researching work a nonlinear with restrictions model for a CSTR Reactor is obtained and linearized applying Taylor Series. A PID Temperature Control is implemented for the Chemical Reactor CSTR with simple exothermal reaction in a first stage of the process. Finally, a PI Control is implemented to control the masic Concentration of the final product, propilenglicol, in a Fed-Batch Bioreactor of perfect mixing, for a second stage of the process. The control design is accomplished using Matlab/Simulink.
